As a competitive athlete in both high school and college, MaryEllen found yoga as a way to stretch and cross train, and after her first 30-day challenge that she was completely hooked. It was 2015, and MaryEllen was training for a half-marathon. Having never run more than 3 miles, MaryEllen's joints suffered, so about a month before the race she decided to sign up for a 30 day challenge which contributed to her sub-two hour time. MaryEllen completed her teacher training at Corepower in Minneapolis, MN the following year. After completion, she knew that sharing the practice and tradition of yoga was a part of her calling, she just didn't know when, how, or where until finding Peak Yoga. MaryEllen is very excited to share her knowledge with her students and guide them through the movement and breath of yoga, so that one day her students may share her same passion and love of yoga.
