Melinda Shoff, RYT 200
It took a few years for Melinda to realize that yoga was maybe the best part of her lifestyle – she tried it out very casually over 10 years ago, believing that yoga was just about stretching, but didn’t start practicing with regularity until the late 2000s. She enrolled in her first 200 hour training in 2011 with Shannon Paige and Nancy Kate Williams; she was drawn to their style of conscious alignment within the fluidity of vinyasa, which was simultaneously strong and graceful. In 2015 she enrolled in Yoga Medicine’s 200 hour program under Tiffany Cruikshank. This time, the draw was the focus on anatomy, and more specifically how to apply that anatomical knowledge to asana to keep students (and herself) safe.
